With more than 35 years of experience in hospitality architecture, corporate design, and urban planning, Eduardo Manzano has built a career distinguished by the pursuit of excellence — always focusing on client results while enhancing the user experience.
As Director of renowned international firms such as VOA Associates and Perkins+Will, he led projects for major American and European hotel chains including Marriott, Hyatt, Starwood, Wyndham, Hilton, Campanile, and Meliá, as well as national brands such as Rio Quente Resorts and BHG. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to more than 100 hotel and tourism developments across Brazil.
His expertise also extends to high-performance corporate projects, where design excellence must go hand in hand with functionality and measurable results. For clients such as General Atlantic, Bank of America, Valid, and Casas Pernambucanas, he has delivered solutions ranging from space optimization strategies to complete “Turnkey” and “Design & Build” projects.
Eduardo has also played a leading role in urban planning, with a special focus on smart and sustainable cities, serving as Vice President of Urban Planning at the Smart City Business America Institute.
He has been an active voice in the industry, as a board member of the Brazil Hospitality International Conference (BHIC), coordinator of the Historic Inns Circuit of Brazil’s Ministry of Tourism, as well as a frequent lecturer and curator at conferences and events in Brazil and abroad.
A pioneer in metaverse architecture, Eduardo is also a professor of Hospitality Architecture at the Istituto Europeo di Design, Mackenzie University, and Roberto Miranda College, as well as a professor of Management and Marketing for Architects and Designers at ESPM – Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing.
