A "surf" themed venture, the Atibaia Islands Resort project is a tourist complex that contain a Water Park, Hotel with 494 apartments and related common areas, an Urban Entertainment Center, parking for 800 vehicles, a wave pool, lake for wakeboarding and sports courts. ​ Located close to the major urban centers of the state, it is already a consolidated destination for the practice of extreme sports or just a place for relaxation with a large preserved forest next to the Atibainha River. ​
